Cascade 220 Superwash Yarn

Last year, I remember an episode of The Office where Phyllis gives Michael some handmade, wool mittens (as an homage to an earlier episode where she gives him a handmade oven mitt). After presenting him with the gift, she explains that they can only be washed in some unconventional way and I thought it was pretty funny, because that’s probably the norm.

The truth is, you CAN wash wool yarn conventionally, you just need to use the right wool.

So I wanted to highlight a particular brand that we carry: Cascade 220 Superwash. As you’ll see, this particular yarn is constructed of quality, worsted-weight, machine-washable wool. So, if you make mittens as a gift for your friend or family member, they will be able to safely machine-wash them, without hassle!
